Udan Travel planning guide · Updated 19 October 2026

A Force Urbania booking should start with the people and bags travelling together. Two vehicles described as “luxury Urbania” can have different seating layouts, luggage arrangements and quotation terms. This guide explains how to compare those differences for a Delhi airport transfer, family tour, wedding movement or outstation journey.
This article is published by Udan Travel Ind Services. For available service options, see Udan Travel’s Delhi Urbania rental service.
Standard or Maharaja: compare the actual cabin
“Maharaja” describes an advertised cabin configuration rather than one fixed seating arrangement. Ask for current interior photographs, the approved passenger capacity, the seating plan and luggage storage for the vehicle offered. A 1×1 layout has one seat on either side of the aisle; a 2×1 layout has two seats on one side and one on the other. Confirm which arrangement applies instead of relying on the vehicle name.
Udan Travel’s cabin-comparison page advertises 9, 12 and 15-seater Maharaja options and 12 or 16-seater standard Force Urbania options. Those advertisements do not establish availability for a particular date. A sofa-bed description is a cabin feature and does not automatically add approved travelling seats.
Check passengers and luggage together
- Share the number of travellers, large suitcases, cabin bags and bulky items.
- Ask where the luggage will go with every required passenger seat occupied.
- Request boarding-access details for anyone who needs assistance.
- Confirm AC, music, reclining seats and any charging points on the actual cabin.
- If a carrier or sofa bed matters, obtain specific confirmation rather than assuming it is fitted.
For example, an airport group carrying several large suitcases may need a different storage arrangement from the same number of passengers on a day outing. A larger advertised seat count alone does not answer that question. Keep aisles and necessary passenger seats free of bags.
Match the quotation to your journey
| Journey | Details to provide |
|---|---|
| Delhi local sightseeing | Pickup, visits in order, reporting time, waiting and final drop; confirm included hours and kilometres. |
| Airport arrival | Flight, date, confirmed terminal, passengers, bags and destination; agree on the meeting point and waiting terms. |
| Wedding or corporate movement | Each transfer time, hotel or venue address, passengers per movement and late-return requirements. |
| Outstation tour | Departure, overnight towns, sightseeing, return date and final drop; confirm permits and any restricted local excursions separately. |
Compare the complete price
For per-kilometre billing, the base vehicle charge is the agreed billable distance multiplied by the agreed rate. Ask about daily minimum kilometres and where distance counting starts and ends. A fixed airport-transfer quotation should instead identify the included journey and the treatment of changes.
Check fuel, driver allowance, overnight expenses, tolls, parking, permits, taxes, waiting and additional hours or kilometres. Get the advance, balance-payment and cancellation terms in writing. Hotels, meals, guides and attraction tickets belong in the offer only when specifically included. This guide does not publish an unverified starting fare.
A practical Delhi–Jaipur example
For a three-day private trip, the enquiry could specify Delhi pickup and Jaipur hotel drop on day one, selected Jaipur visits on day two, and Delhi return on day three. Add hotel addresses and the preferred stops, then leave time for meals and rest. If the return connects to a flight, build the connection buffer into the plan. This is an itinerary outline, not a fixed package or guaranteed driving time.
Before paying an advance
- Confirm the offered vehicle, passenger capacity and current cabin photographs.
- Check luggage storage and the facilities required by your group.
- Review the route, service dates, total price and exclusions.
- Retain the booking acknowledgement and pickup contact details.
